Compartimos hoy con vosotros el proyecto de una nueva biblioteca en la localidad portuguesa de Vila Franca de Xira, en un entorno determinado por la proximidad con el río, las construcciones tradicionales colindantes y la memoria de las preexistencias; llevado a cabo por el equipo de arquitectura portugués capitaneado por el arquitecto Miguel Arruda.
The river, the railway, and the books join together in Vila Franca de Xira Municipal Library, recently opened with the name Factory of Words, in memory of an old rice mill that existed in the same location.
The video is guided by an interview with the architect Miguel Arruda, and balanced by different perspectives of the building open to the community, white with a triangular light passing through the various floors, lagged from each other, and with a strong link with the river and the city through a metal bridge.
